| Ok, so its probably about time that I update this thing. So here's life: School-Same Old. Nothing too exciting to mention. My Stats teacher is "special". The only math person who doesn't understand that positive+positive=positive. Work-Errr...I'm surrounded by sports fans, so I tend to always never know what everyone is excited about. But otherwise it has been going on well. I'm not the social queen but as usual when work is concerned I am liked for work ethic and self sufficiency. Home-My family has decided to hire an landscape place to do our front yard. So we had three trees torn down yesterday. It was rather special. Otherwise Conor is starting confirmation and I laughed at him. Noises Off-I'll be glad when this show is done. I"M NEVER RUNNING PROPS AGAIN! Although the show is fantastic. If you are in the area this weekend, it is Friday, Saturday, evening at 7:30 or SUnday at 2p. And most importantly: Christmas in Oz!!!!!! Well the worst of it is done. Which was auditions/casting. The part I was dreading most about this all. It's so hard to actually have to to judge your friends, and assess them. Even harder to focus on what you were given in the audition, rather than what you know that person is capable of normally. But I think Shawn, Crystal, and I are all pleased with the decisions we made about casting. Now that it is done, I can just go do what I love. BUt I'm feeling good about it so far. Auditions went all right. It sounds like Shawn liked what he saw so far from choreography, so that lifts a decent level of stress off me. Since even though I trust Shawn completely, he's also been my choreographer for 4 years now, so to be choreographing for him naturally places a high standard for me personally. | | |
| Ok, so the coolest thing possible that can happen in class actually happened. So there is a girl in our class who struggles with note-taking. So get this-the O'Neill Centre (for non Katies that's essentially tutor world for the college), actually pays students who are in the classes with those struggling note takers to come to the class they already come to and to photocopy their notes each week and drop them in their mailbox. So you guessed it? I officially get paid to go to one of my classes and take notes? That just sounds so cool. It's not a lot, but who cares, its the theory that I get paid to go to a class I already like. | | |
| From the world of Christine; Corey came home to visit us last night which was fun. we played Phase Ten, which I won of course. He's been staying with Sandy this weekend apparantly for her birthday. And don't ask me what that means, because I don't know. Corey and Sandy will be Corey and Sandy....end of story. My family has become bird people. My mom got a bird feeder and my dad and mom are now bird people. It's funny to watch them though. So I've been informed that we are redoing the landscape of our home. Last year it was a kitchen, this year its landscape. School starts Wednesday. Eh......nothing too exciting to report. I enjoy being home. I'm comfortable home and people leave me alone at home. And yeah that's all. | | |
| Ok Next Update:
I love my new job. The people I work with make me laugh like the end of the world. So do customers. I'm particularly loving the large number of people who come through the drive through and give us a state id card, when they are clearly driving a car. Nice huh.
My room is finally starting to finally come together nicely. I have a really cool new desk in my room. It's white and super long. Long enough that I could have three projects spread out at once on the table. It's nice. It has some white shelves for basic storage, but no drawers. We took the doors off my closet so it is wide open and I have easy access to my clothes. My tv/dvd player are on the fridge. Though I had to buy a new tv remote since mine was missing from moving out...so I went to circuit city and got one from the guy who hit on me and chased me down to be the one to ring me up. My new shelves Laura helped me set up look nice. I have a full length mirror finally. So in that area things are great.
Still haven't bought books for school....I should really do that......maybe....eh. WHich reminds me Laura, you should give me your schoool schedule at least so I'll know that.
Last night helped Laura move into the exact same room as last year except it is in the twin building of the one she was in last year. Then we went to Leeann Chins and saw our favourite server there!!! Teehee.
I am finally finding some solid time to work on choreography for Christmas in Oz. To anyone who is confused, Christmas in Oz is the kids show that Heritage is putting on this fall. It's a cast with many children, but some adult roles too, if you're interested in auditioning let me know and I'll get you information. But I am choreographing for theshow. The talented amazing singer Crystal is going to be music director, and the director is a great friend of mine, Shawn! So I'm super excited about this.
So that's all for now.
